About Us

Founded in 2023 by Dr. Serena Nayee, we seek to serve marginalized groups by way of highlighting, strengthening, and engaging in relief opportunities at underrepresented-owned/managed clinics and/or clinics predominantly serving marginalized communities. In addition to our clinical services, we are able to provide consulting services specific to inclusive relief work and accessible care opportunities.

Meet our team

Dr. Serena Nayee

Dr. Serena Nayee (she/her), UGA CVM 2020, is the founder and executive director of Chapter VIII: Veterinary Inclusion and Intersectionality Initiative, Inclusivet Co, and Vetbulance Community Care. She has previous experience as a medical director in the for-profit small animal veterinary urgent care sector, which inspired her to pursue development of accessible urgent care, after reflecting on the need for access to urgent clinical care and education among marginalized groups. Dr. Serena hopes to make veterinary medicine more representative and accessible via incremental care and inclusive education.

Paul Stringfield

Paul Stringfield (he/him), RVT Candidate 2024, is a veterinary assistant dedicated to helping animals and making care accessible. Paul is a founding partner of Vetbulance Community Care. Paul is the Chapter VIII Co Outreach Director, and has previous experience working with other non-profit organizations (FACE) to help minimize the feral cat population in Indianapolis, Indiana. He now works with people every day to ensure that incremental care is feasible for pets and their families.
